Corporate Social Responsibility

Robert Bird Group have strategic partnerships with corporate and community organisations on social and business issues that matter most to the communities in which we work.

We focus on varied opportunities one of which is employing local talent in a diverse workforce, fostering the health and well-being of our people and communities, and encouraging excellence and innovation in engineering.

Other partnerships target disadvantaged youth, education, the environment and excellence in the medical innovation. Each of these areas can deliver significant shared value, but require long-term, reliable corporate support.

We are proud to provide that support, and seek lasting relationships that deliver measurable benefits.

Robert Bird Group Supports World-First Research

Robert Bird Group has partnered with the RBWH Foundation to support the Queensland Motion Analysis Centre (QMAC). Robert Bird Group's pledge of $320,000 will enable QMAC to embark upon groundbreaking research to collect 3D motion analysis data across the human lifespan.

The QMAC team will collect normative data from volunteers and data from premature babies and patients suffering burns, stroke, Parkinson's Disease, spinal injuries and Multiple Sclerosis.

Movements will be evaluated from all angles along with 3-dimensional forces exerted on the ground and across joints and muscle activity from lower and sometimes upper limbs. Analysis and interpretation of this data allows problem areas to be identified and quantified to permit appropriate development (and later monitoring) of medical and/or surgical and/or pharmacological interventions as well as physiotherapy, prosthetics, orthotics and occupational therapy.

Robert Bird Group's support will assist the QMAC to focus on this revolutionary research and those in need.

QUT Dean Scholars Program

Focusing on innovation as a group, we have also developed a program with QUT, which enables us to continually innovate and bring rigor and focus to the Group. The Dean’s Scholars Program at QUT through the Masters Program enables our staff to complete their masters via industry-based research at work while being supported by the company financially and with mentoring and training.

Redcliffe State High School Mentoring Program

Since the founding of Robert Bird Group, the group has supported a Mentoring Program at Redcliffe State High School supporting and assisting with career opportunities
