John graduated from the Queensland University of Technology in 1998 and joined RBG in the Brisbane and Sydney offices where he was involved in a wide variety of structural projects. These included residential apartment buildings, wharf structures, commercial buildings and heritage structures.
John has worked in the London office since 2003 where he has worked in lead roles on a range of major projects including the St Pancreas terminus of the CTRL, Westfield London and the London Athletes Village.
In 2010, John established the Advanced Technical Services division, a group applying modern analytical technology to a range of complex engineering problems. Capabilities of the group include detailed analysis of structural and geotechnical situations using non-linear FE analysis, assessment of structural dynamics including floor, bridge and grandstand vibration, blast analysis of civil infrastructure, tidal energy devices and construction stage analysis of major projects (including the Shard of Glass jump start).
John leads the Advanced Technical Services team, delivering solutions to complex, technically demanding engineering and construction problems by applying leading edge analysis and design techniques.
