Brisbane Airport Multi-Storey Car Park
This project involved adding two levels to the existing multi-storey long-term carpark at Brisbane’s domestic airport as part of Brisbane Airport Corporation’s expansion of its facilities. Robert Bird’s civil division was called upon to develop a carpark expansion design which could be implemented while the facility was operational.

Commercial
Green Square
This key development is an inner city commercial and residential sub-division at St. Paul's Terrace in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley. Robert Bird Group's civil department has played significant roles in this development through the design of bulk earthworks, water and sewerage infrastructure in addition to stormwater deviation and infrastructure. Robert Bird Group negotiated stormwater deviation to minimize timing and impact on the project.

Discovery Point
This mixed-use development is strategically located between Princes Highway, Sydney - Wollongong Railway, and Cooks River. The development incorporates the Wolli Creek railway station (part of the underground line to the Sydney Airports) and the heritage listed Tempe House.

Civic
Commonwealth Games Village
Five separate apartment buildings of up to three storeys in height, comprising part of the athlete’s accommodation for the 2005 Commonwealth Games. Robert Bird’s civil engineering department carried out bulk earthworks, roadwork design and stormwater management required for the construction of the apartment buildings.

Parramatta Justice Precinct
The 6000m˛ Parramatta Justice Precinct is the site of the first Colonial Hospital and the first tent Hospital dating back to 1790. The development includes three new multi storey buildings, refurbishment to some existing buildings, some commercial structures and extensive civil and landscaping features. The site will house the new Family Court, Trial Court, Children’s Court and Attorney General Office.

Distribution Centres
Major Australian Retailer Distribution Centre
Comissioned by a major Australian Retailer this state of the art distribution centre on a 19 ha lot with the Motorway Business Park off the Logan Motorway to strategically service their supermarket outlets throughout South East Queensland. This Greenfield development requirements were met from the site negotiations through tendering and construction.

Education
Springfield Education City
Education City is an integral part of the growth of Brisbane's western corridor and will provide educational facilities from early childhood through to post graduation. This life long learning facility has been developed as part of the Greater Springfield development and consists of university facilities for an initial intake of 500 students including a 350 seat auditorium, student accommodation facilities for 110 students and a school and early learning facility.

Melbourne Showgrounds
Redevelopment and refurbishment of a number of historic buildings to provide new facilities that blend seamlessly with the old. The redevelopment comprises complete reconstruction of external areas and infrastructure over the 19 hectare site with the great majority of that area being trafficable by vehicles and pedestrians.

Nudgee Golf Club
The redevelopment of the south course at Nudgee Golf Club included the design and construction of the 2nd, 10th, 11th, 12th, 16th and 17th holes. Robert Bird Group’s Civil Engineering division provided causeway and culvert design for modification of existing waterways, civil earthworks design and construction supervision throughout the project.

Willowbank Raceway
Willowbank is home to the car racing enthusiasts of South East Queensland. Six major drag racing events are held here annually in addition to the two national events on the Australian Drag Racing Calendar: the Winternationals and the Australian Drag Racing Nationals. In 2002 the track surface of the raceway underwent a major upgrade. Robert Bird Group was employed to design the new track surface so that the raceway and the concrete barriers to the track could be enhanced to meet International Racing Standards. Since completion the track has provided the opportunity for many new records to be set.

Parklands Residential Development
This project consists of four apartment buildings up to 13 storeys incorporating three basement levels and podium, situated on the fringe of the Roma Street Parklands and directly on the boundary with Queensland Rails busy road network. Robert Bird Group’s civil and structural departments have played a key role in this impressive development. Civil works entailed staged bulk earthworks, roadworks, stormwater draining management and diversion of stormwater and sewerage systems.

King Street Wharf
Construction of roadworks and drainage infrastructure for a multi-staged mixed use development on the Darling Harbour foreshore linking the Darling Harbour to the city. Claimed by Sydney City Council engineers to involve the first new city streets in the CBD for fifty years, the design and construction of the municipal infrastructure for this project called for innovative solutions to unique problems.

Logan Hyperdome Leisure Precinct
An extension of this major shopping complex at Loganholme required bulk earthworks in addition to a diversion of the existing stormwater system and extension to the existing sewerage system. Robert Bird Group’s structural and civil division played a key role in this extension.

Wakerley Residential Subdivision
The subdivision of a 1.8 hectare site at New Cleveland Rd, Wakerley into 21 lots for residential developments. Robert Birds civil expertise was called upon as the project required earthworks, roadworks and stormwater drainage design, in addition to sewerage and water reticulation.
