The Opportunity

At RBG, Compliance is a key part of our internal risk management process. It is recognised as a high-value business function by senior management and is integral to the way we operate.

In this newly created role, the Group Compliance Manager will be responsible for the leading, development, running, and management of the RBG compliance program. This program is designed to manage integrity compliance risks faced by RBG in its global business operations, including bribery and corruption risks. You will be the compliance subject matter expert and technical authority and will therefore consult widely throughout the group.

The Group Compliance Manager will manage senior stakeholder relationships by keeping them apprised of key issues, briefing, securing their support for recommendations and proposals, and timely escalation of issues of concern. This is an exciting opportunity for a compliance professional to be hands-on in influencing our corporate environment.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with great influencing skills, having the ability to identify and steer compliance opportunities for business improvement. They will have well-developed critical analysis skills and the ability to be objective when working with multiple points of view.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert advice and guidance to the organisation on regulatory issues affecting the provision of consulting services across the global regions.
  • Reporting regularly to management on regulatory changes and emerging political, legal, and compliance issues affecting the industry.
  • Sourcing legal and industry information and emerging trends to ensure the group is at the forefront of regulatory management.
  • Conducting investigations to discover the root cause of compliance problems when they arise.
  • Develop and deliver compliance training and review of outcomes.
  • Formulate and deliver communications strategy and action plans for RBG in consultation with the CEO, COO, and Brand & Communications.
  • Manage any external compliance obligations and file compliance reports with appropriate regulatory agencies.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Proven experience in business integrity or similar compliance management roles in a commercial environment. Experience in a consulting or construction environment will be highly regarded.
  • A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality
  • Knowledge of political, economic, and legal frameworks and structures of key relevant global jurisdictions
  • Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record-keeping
  • An analytical mind able to identify and comprehend the complexities of procedures and regulations
  • Relevant academic qualifications
  • Project management skills and experience in running and managing projects across different cultures, countries, roles, and levels
