Richard Valenti

Richard initially joined the Robert Bird Group in 1988 as a Graduate Engineer where he gained experience in the design of industrial warehouses, medium rise commercial and residential projects. His career over the past 31 years has provided exposure to the delivery of projects in various sectors including commercial, residential, industrial, infrastructure, and manufacturing. In 2013, Richard returned to the Robert Bird Group Brisbane office as a Principal.

While working in Brisbane, Richard managed the design delivery for the 75 storey mixed use tower in the Abu Dhabi Plaza Project in Astana, Kazakhstan. This project covered a 40,000m² site and included 4 basements and 4 podium levels, the 75 storey mixed use tower, 14 storey hotel, 17 and 29 storey office tower and 30 storey residential tower.

From 2015 to 2016 Richard worked in the RBG London and Dubai offices assisting in the delivery of a number of significant projects including a 54 storey office tower in the Business District of Dubai and a high density residential development consisting of 3 medium rise towers in Elephant Park, London.

Richard has returned to Brisbane to assist with the delivery of a number of projects including Wynyard Place in Sydney, 405 Bourke St in Melbourne and the new TAE turbine Engine maintenance facility near Brisbane.

He is currently working in the $A5.4 billion Cross River Rail project design team as lead for the temporary shoring works for all four stations and for the Roma Street Station permanent works.
