Following graduation in 1996 Stephen worked for a number of top-tier engineering consultancies gaining experience in the infrastructure, mining, aviation, transportation, and remediation sectors. During this period, Stephen identified opportunities within the engineering and construction industry to develop a capability focused on offering clients a digital simulation of their projects from conception to completion.
Stephen completed a Master’s Degree in 2006 focused on advancing this, and soon after in 2008 joined RBG with the intent of assisting the business in building its Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) capability. Since joining, Stephen has used his industry experience, in conjunction with other RBG business units to help evolve the VDC capability to what it is today. He has successfully applied VDC to many landmark projects such as Melbourne Rectangular Stadium (AAMI Park), Adelaide Oval Redevelopment, Hong Kong Passenger Clearance Building, Abu Dhabi Midfield Terminal, Australia 108, Rod Laver and Margaret Court Arenas’, Battersea Power Station Redevelopment, and Snowy 2.0 Hydro-electric Scheme.
