40 Years of RBG: Expanding our Presence in Sydney in 1996

As part of our 40-year anniversary celebrations, we look back on some key milestones that were instrumental to the expansion of RBG across the globe. This month we look at our presence in Sydney.

RBG’s first office in Sydney was established in 1996 following some notable project wins; the Broadway Shopping Centre development and Woolloomooloo Wharf. The humble office consisted of a couple of desks in the corner of a small, shared workspace in Crows Nest on a site that is now coincidentally a metro station. As RBG’s presence in Sydney grew, so too did the team in Crows Nest to approximately 25 employees. To accommodate future expansion, RBG secured 300 square metres of office space on Clarence Street in the city’s CBD the following year. The Sydney team now consists of 75+ employees, working out of the 6th floor of a high-rise tower in North Sydney, following a relocation in 2020.
