The ‘Spirit of Excellence’ Graduate Development Program has been designed to take you to the forefront of engineering excellence. Running over a period of two years, it has been tailored to cultivate innovation, personal growth, and achievement, preparing graduates for impactful careers in a nurturing and dynamic environment.

We know the transition from education into full-time work can be difficult, which is why we ensure our graduates and undergraduates feel at home from the moment they first walk through the door. As a member of our global team, you’ll be encouraged to take ownership of your career development whilst working on exciting and challenging real-world projects. We’re here to support you every step of the way, as you progress within your chosen specialism.

In a nutshell, here’s what you can expect from the program:

  • A personalised face-to-face orientation and welcome at one of our nominated locations within Australia, New Zealand, or Hong Kong.
  • Pairing with a dedicated mentor and local support buddy from the outset.
  • A personalised development plan, tailored to your goals.
  • Regular manager check-in opportunities and mentoring sessions.
  • An opportunity to work within a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
  • Funding for your institution membership costs.
  • Tracking of continuing professional development (CPD).
  • Opportunities to set and achieve milestones, improve technical writing and presentation skills.
  • Regular group development sessions to share experiences, insights, and network.
  • Support in setting and achieving milestones.
  • Exposure to site visits and client meetings.

First Year

  • Four professional development masterclass sessions.
  • Three technical boost sessions, delivered by industry leading experts.
  • Four technical boost micro skills application sessions.
  • Optional rotations, specifically tailored to meet your individual needs.

Second Year

  • Seven professional development masterclass sessions.
  • Three technical boost sessions, delivered by industry leading experts.
  • Four technical boost micro skills application sessions.
  • An opportunity to work within your chosen specialism.
  • An opportunity to showcase innovation and personal growth through our second-year innovation challenge.
  • Recognition for outstanding performance with a Spirit of Excellence Award afforded to one engineering graduate per intake.
  • Celebration of program completion and achievement with our annual graduation presentation.

We’re on the lookout for candidates in their final year, or recent graduates, with a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Science degree in civil, structural, or construction engineering.
