Adrian’s journey with Robert Bird Group (RBG) began in 2003 when he assumed the role of Senior Structural Draftsperson. Demonstrating an aptitude for leadership, in 2005 Adrian was promoted to Drafting Manager for Brisbane’s Structures division where he played a pivotal role in steering numerous local projects to success. Three years later, he transitioned into a Group drafting role, where his responsibilities expanded to encompass training, software implementation, BIM, drafting standards, and quality assurance across all RBG offices.

By 2019, Adrian had evolved into his current position as Group Digital Production Lead. In this role, he oversees strategic implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of various software tools, with notable achievements including spearheading the transition from 2D CAD to Revit in 2005. Adrian’s commitment to innovation is evident in his involvement in RBG’s Engineering and Technology initiatives, where he actively contributes to the development of BIM services, adoption of Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), and optimisation of digital workflows. Additionally, Adrian collaborates closely with RBG’s Group BIM Manager to anticipate future industry processes and technological advancements, ensuring RBG stays at the forefront of innovation in project delivery strategies.

In 2024, Adrian assumed the role of Group Technical Product Manager, bridging the gap between the software development team and the business’s technical requirements. His duties include understanding and articulating business needs, identifying development opportunities, coordinating priorities across business units, managing technical resources, overseeing product roll-out and training, monitoring software usage and licensing, and facilitating beta testing and stakeholder engagement.
