Pendle Hill Station Upgrade

Project Description

The Pendle Hill Station Upgrade project included four new lifts, a new station concourse and footbridge, new stairs and platform canopies, as well as refurbishments and additions to station amenities and adjustments to street and public domain infrastructure. The upgrade involved the partial demolition of the existing station footbridge, including the complete removal of the ramps to Joyce Street and Wentworth Avenue.

Added Value

Robert Bird Group served as the Civil and Structural Engineer for the Transport NSW Pendle Hill Station Easy Access Upgrade Project; part of the broader Transport Access Program aimed at enhancing access within the transport network. Collaborating with John Holland as the design and construct contractor, Robert Bird Group acted as the temporary works engineer, investigating and designing construction solutions to optimise construction time and mitigate risk.
