RBG Appointed to Key Role in Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail Project

RBG is proud to be playing a pivotal role in one of South East Queensland’s major infrastructure initiatives, the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project.

As part of the Rail Package, RBG has been appointed to deliver the structural engineering design for the rebuild of eight railway stations. This significant scope of work is aimed at enhancing connectivity and improving transport efficiency across the fast-growing corridor between Logan and the Gold Coast.

In addition to the station upgrades, RBG will also lead the structural design of a new multistorey car park and a bus interchange at Beenleigh station. These new facilities are a key part of the region’s integrated transport plan, designed to support increased passenger volumes and provide seamless transitions between different modes of transport.

The project is being delivered for ActivUs consortium – a collaboration of leading infrastructure specialists including Acciona, CPB, UGL, SMEC and WSP.

Greg Hogg, RBG’s Queensland and Northern Territory Operations Manager, highlighted the significance of this appointment:

“Building on our recent experience delivering the structural design for all four Cross River Rail underground stations, we’re incredibly excited to continue supporting our valued clients with this important infrastructure. It’s especially rewarding to contribute to transport solutions that will serve South East Queensland’s growing population and align with the future needs of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.”

With this appointment, RBG continues to reinforce its commitment to delivering innovative, sustainable, and future-focused engineering solutions for the communities of Queensland.
