RBG is proud to announce the commencement of the final stage of Liverpool Civic Place, a landmark development set to transform the southern end of Liverpool CBD.
A City-Shaping Vision
Delivered in partnership with Built Development Group and the University of Wollongong, this phase introduces:
- 11 storeys of university floor space, to be occupied by the University of Wollongong.
- 5 storeys of life-sciences enabled and flexible workspace fostering innovation and collaboration.
- Liverpool’s first 9-storey co-living building.
- A 3-storey basement to better meet parking and servicing needs.
Ground floor retail activating Scott Street and the internal laneway.
- Architectural design by fjcstudio.
- 6 Star Green Star rating, continuing the sustainability legacy of Stage 1.
RBG’s Engineering Leadership
As the lead structural engineer, RBG is responsible for:
- Full structural design, including shoring and substructure
- A top-down steel structure at one excavation boundary to reduce impact and waste
- Partial implementation of this method in the main structure
- Construction engineering support throughout the build
- Advanced BIM coordination for seamless digital collaboration
