Since joining Robert Bird Group in 2018 as a design engineer, Isaak has enjoyed delivering engineering solutions across projects of varying scale and complexity. As part of the Construction Engineering team, he specialises in temporary works and brings a strong focus on Construction Methodology and Erection Sequencing (CMES) for challenging projects.
Isaak’s experience is grounded in first principles engineering and spans a wide range of structural forms and sectors, including Transport & Main Roads certified products, heavy industry remedial designs and associated methodologies, residential house renovations, lifting frames, reinforced, precast and tilt up concrete structures, landscape artwork, portal frame warehouses, and mid rise residential developments. In addition, Isaak has held key roles on major infrastructure projects, notably Cross River Rail in Brisbane and the Waikeria Prison Development in New Zealand, providing significant design and construction phase support. He has also been involved in asset integrity monitoring for large asset portfolios across the Bowen Basin, assisting in the management of structural risk in fast paced operational environments.
Isaak is known for his practical, construction focused approach, developing solutions that balance efficiency, safety, and buildability. He is an effective team leader and mentor, capable of Designing for Delivery to achieve robust, constructible, and project best outcomes under demanding site and programme constraints.
