Cormac is an experienced structural engineer who leads multi-disciplinary teams to deliver large-scale, complex projects. He leverages strong interpersonal and technical skills to add value to design teams and confidently engage with clients, consultants, and contractors. Cormac’s expertise spans all project stages, from proposals and pre-planning to completion, across a wide range of technically challenging projects. In his current role as an Associate Director, he manages internal teams to deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
Cormac’s recent rail project experience includes One Liverpool Street, One Waterloo, Brisbane Cross River Rail, and HS2 C2/C3. He has particular expertise in modular construction, high-rise reinforced concrete frames, and post-tensioned design, and has presented lectures on post-tensioned design to Masters students. An expert in mixed-use projects, Cormac excels in delivering cost-effective solutions to multiple stakeholders. As a pragmatic leader, he effectively motivates teams to deliver complex projects within tight time frames.
Cormac enjoys working within design teams, utilising his natural problem-solving ability to drive the best solutions for projects. Drawing on his early experience in detailed design during construction phases, he can quickly devise buildable and program-saving solutions early in the design process
