Daniel Green joined Robert Bird Group (RBG) in Perth at the end of 2013 as an undergraduate engineer. He began with the buildings team, working on projects during various stages of design and construction. Daniel used finite element analysis software to work on the lateral stability systems of a handful of high-rise buildings in Australia which ranged from 20 to 50+ stories.
Daniel moved to Dubai in 2016 where he worked the temporary and permanent works design for the ICD Brookfield Place project. Daniel was then seconded to Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan in September 2016 where he operated as a site engineer for the Abu Dhabi Plaza Development, his duties involved the coordination of permanent and temporary works design as well as inspecting and reporting on the extensive fire damage which occurred to the structure. He returned to Dubai in 2017 to join the Construction Engineering team and work on the Construction Methodology and Erection Stress Analysis for the Museum of the Future. Since then, he has worked on the staged analysis and temporary support of ICD Brookfield place’s five story composite A – Frame, the Erection Stress Analysis of Expo 2020 UAE Pavilion and assessment of the Royal Atlantis Project’s Post Tensioned (PT) slabs during the temporary condition.
In October 2018 Daniel began working on the Expo 2020 Al Wasl Plaza Trellis. He became team leader for the Trellis Construction Engineering Site team which at its peak consisted of eight Engineers and two Drafting Technicians based on site. Daniel’s interests lie with the Erection Stress Analysis of iconic structures and the unique construction engineering solutions required to construct these buildings.
