James joined Robert Bird Group (RBG) in Melbourne in 2009 and later relocated to the Adelaide office in 2015, where he currently serves as the region’s General Manager. He boasts a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University of Sydney, earned in 2002, and a Masters in Construction Management from Swinburne University of Technology Melbourne, earned in 2011.

With over two decades of experience, James has made significant contributions to the structural design of numerous multi-storey and infrastructure projects, spanning rail and major roads, commercial, retail, residential, as well as major sports facilities and convention centres. Notable projects under James’ leadership at RBG include the Adelaide Oval Redevelopment, Adelaide Convention Centre, T1 Bifurcation Roof, New Perth Stadium, and OSDP Osborne and Darlington. His expertise in construction engineering encompasses construction sequencing, staged erection analysis, and temporary works design.
