His diverse portfolio encompasses a range of sectors, from iconic sports stadia to the intricate designs of the City of London ‘Square Mile’ commercial products showcasing his versatility and ingenuity.

At Robert Bird Group, Matt is a Director overseeing a team of 30 engineers in the Building Structures Division. A leader in engineering innovation and sustainable design, Matt has a remarkable ability to lead teams of engineers and technicians, coupled with a sound technical acumen honed over years of experience. This combination consistently yields well-thought-out, innovative designs that have paved the way for successful project deliveries, especially within large, multi-disciplinary design teams.

Matt’s career is marked by notable successes, including the leadership of the 4-storey basement design of 120 Fenchurch Street in the City of London – a project that earned a Ground Engineering Award in 2017.
