Robert Bird Group was recognised at the Ground Engineering Awards 2026 last night with three significant acknowledgements, highlights both our technical capability and our commitment to a more inclusive profession.

We received the Excellence in Learning and Development Award for our work developing talent through structured rotations, early-career industry involvement, and a strong internal culture of support and recognition.

The judges noted “Robert Bird Group’s programme reflects a genuine commitment to developing talent from within, created trusted role models who inspire and empower their teams.”

We also received the Editor’s Choice Award for EDI Champion for our work championing change in the profession, recognising the work of our team to create a more inclusive, supportive environment.

Robert Bird Group also received the Editor’s Award for ‘Consulting Firm of the Year’ with the judges noting “It is a business that has embraced and is positively engaging in, employing and developing a diverse group of employees and is undoubtedly benefiting from this strategy; a clear example of diversity and gender equality in the workplace, issues which we actively promote here at Ground Engineering.”
