Robert Bird Group Launches Women’s Network and Mentorship Program
Robert Bird Group (RBG) proudly announces the launch of two women’s empowerment initiatives, “Women at Birds” and the SJ ANZ “Cultivate” Women’s Sponsorship Program, as part of our unwavering commitment to invest in women and drive progress within the construction industry.

“Women at Birds” embodies our dedication to fostering a workplace culture where women are empowered, heard, and supported to achieve their full potential. This dynamic women’s network, established in our London office by Senior Engineers Alicia Kent and Susan Mullane, provides a platform for connection, collaboration, and advocacy, creating a safe space for women to address challenges, share experiences, and champion diversity and inclusion.

Complementing this initiative is the SJ ANZ “Cultivate” Program, designed to foster strategic relationships between senior leaders and emerging female talent. Through mentorship, guidance, and support, the program aims to nurture the next generation of female leaders, equipping them with the skills, confidence, and opportunities to succeed and thrive in their careers.

“Facilitating connection of women in RBG through mentorship opportunities, events, and having a woman manager has been really inspiring. It has shown me, as a grad, that there is a place for me here at RBG and I will be supported throughout my career and given equal opportunity.”

– Zoe, RBG Graduate Engineer

Together, these initiatives represent our firm belief in the power of diversity, inclusion, and collaboration to drive meaningful change. By investing in women and providing them with the resources, support, and opportunities they need to excel, we not only strengthen our organisation but also contribute to the advancement of the entire industry.

Together, let’s continue to celebrate, support, and empower women as we work towards a more equitable and inclusive future.
