310 Ann Street Refurbishment
310 Ann Street is a $55m refurbishment of a 21 storey building in Brisbane’s CBD. Robert Bird Group was engaged as structural engineers in the conversion of the original circular floor plate by extending it on three sides to give the building a more square appearance. Robert Bird Group worked with project architects Colin Trapp & Associates and building contractors Hutchinsons to produce a flexible, modern workplace for the future.

Project Features

  • The extension of the floor plate on three sides through the addition of pod floors from level 4 and above.
  • The creation of a 3 storey atrium at the Ann Street entry.
  • The addition of a high level and low-level steel framed awning.
  • The addition of break out areas on the “Spanish stairs” between 310 Ann Street and the adjacent church.
