Green Square North Tower is the first building in Queensland to receive a six star Green Star rating for Office Design. This premium commercial development is comprised of 23,000m² office space, two basements, extensive ground floor podium and a roof-top co-generation plant. Robert Bird Group provided a full civil, structural and construction engineering service from Project inception.

Project Features

• Column free space was maximised through the use at long span post tensional concrete, and column placement which resulted in transition challenges due to site constraints.
• These column transitions included columns to the North face located outside the basement line.
• Many columns needed to realign at Podium. To avoid traditional horizontal transfers, inclined and flagging elements were utilised resulting in large tie forces and a lateral system design to resist the resulting loads.
