Geoenvironmental Engineering

Our geoenvironmental team’s expertise aids clients in unlocking complex contaminated sites. The team assesses contaminated land and advises on potential remediation for a range of sites, to support the due diligence process, to assess statutory risk, to assist with tendering or for planning purposes. We clearly communicate, mitigate and manage contamination risks to allow projects to progress.

In accordance with current guidance. The full suite of contaminated land risk assessment documents, including Phase 1 Preliminary Risk Assessments (Desktop Study), Phase 2 Ground Investigation Report (Generic Quantitative Risk Assessments), Phase 3 Detailed Quantitative Risk Assessments (DQRA), Remediation Strategy and Verification Plans and Verification Reports to allow sign off upon completion of the project. We are also able to assist with ground conditions input to Environmental Impact Assessments.

We can clearly identify specific requirements

Within projects and can undertake specific assessments based on the need. Including; Ground Gas Risk Assessments, Controlled Water Risk Assessments, Vapour intrusion assessments or human health risk assessment.

We can also work with developers and contractors to validate and / or verify remediation works have been completed in accordance with the project requirements and best practice.

Our Team

Can assist in the management of soils on sites and allow them to be reused in accordance with the Waste Framework Directive, this includes completion of Materials Management Plans, assistance with obtaining Environmental Permits and registering of Waste Exemptions. If soils do require removal from site, we can assist with completing waste assessments to correctly categorise the soil.
