Michael has been an integral part of Robert Bird Group (RBG) since 2008 and has over two decades of experience as a Structural Engineer. Currently serving as the Operations Manager for the Melbourne office, he has cultivated a deep passion for Design Leadership. Michael firmly believes in the engineer’s role in delivering value through innovative solutions that efficiently accommodate the demands of gravity, wind, and construction.

Throughout his tenure at RBG, Michael has been instrumental in managing the design and tender preparation for numerous building projects across various sectors. These include residential, commercial, retail, educational, government, hospitality, agribusiness, aged and childcare, industrial, as well as projects involving both cyclonic and non-cyclonic design and construction techniques.

Michael’s diverse portfolio of projects includes the Knox Westfield Redevelopment, the award-winning Australia 108 and 405 Bourke Street, Melbourne Square Stage 1, Docklands Kangan Batman TAFE Stage 2 and the iconic Rod Laver Arena.
