Silas joined Robert Bird Group in 2007 and is currently overseeing the Construction Engineering division in Melbourne. Specialising in value engineering, construction sequence, construction methodology, and temporary works design for challenging projects, Silas also excels in designing and constructing complex structures, including stadia and long-span steel structures.

Silas’ portfolio boasts internationally significant projects such as the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium (AAMI Park), Adelaide Oval Redevelopment, and the Passenger Clearance Building in Hong Kong, alongside landmark local endeavours like Australia 108, 80 Collins St, and Premier Tower in Melbourne. A client-focused approach and emphasis on the constructability of design are central to Silas’ design philosophy.
