Cameron Hateley
Operations Manager – NSW+ACT

Cameron has over 15 years’ experience in structural engineering and is a specialist in leading the delivery of temporary works on complex building and infrastructure projects. Since joining Robert Bird Group in 2006, he has contributed to a variety of projects along the East Coast of Australia, honing skills in structural analysis, design, demolition engineering, forensic investigation, and remedial works for diverse structures including civil infrastructure, mining projects, high rises, and heritage buildings.

His primary focus involves aiding contractors in developing and implementing innovative construction methodologies for safe and efficient project delivery. This includes designing complex temporary works systems and assessing, supporting, and remediating existing structures. Notably, Cameron played a lead role in the Greenland Centre project, where careful consideration and coordination of the construction methodology and temporary works enabled an additional 40 storeys to be built on top of an existing 27 storey building in Sydney’s CBD.

Cameron has grown Robert Bird Group’s temporary works capability in metro projects and is delivering temporary works services on most of the Sydney Metro City Stations. Other significant infrastructure projects Cameron has been involved in include WestConnex, Sydney Light Rail, Brisbane Airport Link, New Farm Riverwalk and Ipswich Motorway Upgrade (Dinmore to Goodna).
