Ed brings a holistic design philosophy to his projects, with a background shaped by successful deliveries across global centres including Melbourne, London, and Dubai over his 20+ year career. His diverse experience ranges from intricate heritage refurbishments to multi-billion-dollar mixed-use precincts.

Ed’s meticulous attention to detail, honed through his work on refurbishments and resolving interfaces with as-built boundaries, underscores his first principles approach to design. As an advocate for sustainability, he prioritises identifying the most appropriate low carbon interventions in his projects. He actively tracks embodied carbon throughout the design journey and promotes the use of Robert Bird Group’s (RBG) in-house carbon calculator, Magpie.

Having contributed to prestigious projects like 100 Bishopsgate, 21 Moorfields, and The Broadway as a member of the RBG London office, Ed now leads the buildings sector in Melbourne, following his relocation to Australia in 2022.
