James stands as a formidable leader, leading the Construction Engineering and engineering strategy for major projects across Robert bird Groups (RBG) Middle East, Europe, and USA regions, with a keen focus on initiatives in the Middle East. His journey with RBG began in 2007 in Sydney, marking the inception of a career marked by global project experience across the Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.

With over 13 years of dedication to the Middle East region, James holds the position of General Manager – Major Projects. He has spent his time at RBG steering the Construction Engineering business in MENA with exceptional prowess, showcasing a deep understanding of structural design and construction engineering. James’ expertise lies in the realm of mega projects, where he has led numerous groundbreaking endeavours. His strengths lie in the design, management, and execution of these projects. Among James’ notable achievements is his leadership role in the Zayed National Museum project since 2017. Here, he assisted in the Construction Engineering elements of the tender works. James’s leadership was also instrumental in the success of the iconic Al Wasl Trellis project, a centrepiece of Expo2020 in Dubai, where he led the Construction Engineering team, developing the Construction Methodology and Erection Sequence. James’ exceptional contributions led to RBG being awarded Consultant of the Year at the Expo 2020 Awards ceremony in 2019.

Passionate about efficiency in construction and engineering, James has cultivated a skilled team adept in structural engineering, construction engineering, visual scripting, and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC). His commitment to virtual construction and the simulation of complex engineering processes prior to execution underscores his forward-thinking approach.
