Since joining Robert Bird Group (RBG) as a graduate in 2000, Jason has specialised in structural design for major projects, including high-rise commercial and residential towers, airports, complex industrial projects, and major retail centers. His expertise in value engineering, design process management, and project delivery is recognised by clients worldwide.

As a Structural Project Director, Jason has overseen projects from concept to construction, with values up to $5 billion, across Australia, the UK, the Middle East, and the USA. He has gained extensive knowledge of modern construction practices, methods, and innovations through his work in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, London, Dubai, and New York. This experience has provided him with a deep understanding of global engineering codes and local authority approval requirements.

By understanding a client’s key drivers for project success, Jason leads engineering teams to deliver results that exceed client expectations and visions. This has made him highly valued by clients globally.

Jason was one of the key innovators behind Autobox, RBG’s first patented modular construction system, unlocking the potential of sustainable modular construction.

Before RBG’s acquisition by Surbana Jurong, Jason was a Board Director and shareholder of the business. In 2023, he relocated from Dubai to New York to become the Managing Director of RBG USA. In 2024, Jason also assumed the role of Executive Director, Mixed-Use and Commercial, leading the sector for the SJ Group house of brands in the AECA region.
