Key technical challenges

  • Demolition methodology for post-tensioned concrete awning structure including lifting analysis.
  • Structural engineering assessment of the structure at all stages of demolition.
  • Design and documentation of new steel framed awning structure, including extensive coordination with architectural and services requirements, and structural engineering assessment of the existing basement structure and retention system to support the new awning.
  • Design and documentation of new suspended structure and structural modifications to the existing structure for the new street level terraces.
  • Structural engineering assessment of the existing roof level structure. Design and documentation of new suspended steel plant platforms.
  • Structural engineering assessment of the existing slabs for new services penetrations.
