Mooroolbark Station Level Crossing Removal

Project Description

The Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) was established by the Victorian Government to oversee the elimination of 75 level crossings across metropolitan Melbourne by 2025, which included new stations and station upgrades. At Manchester Road, Mooroolbark, the level crossing was removed by constructing a rail bridge, and a new elevated station and multi-deck car park were built.

Robert Bird Group was engaged by the Southeast Program Alliance (SEPA) to undertake the enabling works design, which involved a construction compound and a temporary unsealed car park to replace the existing one within the works boundary. The temporary car park was fully delineated with street lighting. We also completed the civil, structural, and temporary works design for the new multi-deck car park at Mooroolbark Station.
